Encouraging cycling
Reducing car use on the route is a constant theme for De Lichtjesroute. Encouraging the use of bicycles is paramount. We appeal to all visitors to the route to use bicycles as much as possible. People then get a much better taste of the atmosphere the ornaments exude and local residents have less noise and exhaust fumes. Consider visiting the route with the bus tour organised by VVV, or walk it in stages. Especially on Saturdays, when the cycle tour is run, the car is unwelcome. This also applies to the international car-free Sunday. Help us save the environment!
